50 Best Restaurants –
Finland’s most prestigious restaurant industry award is presented at TastePro
Organized by Viisi Tähteä media, the “Finland’s 50 Best Restaurants” competition brings together the views of industry professionals on the country’s best restaurants each year. The results are announced during TastePro ecent, making it one of the most anticipated moments of the year in the restaurant industry.
Restaurant Palace continues to lead the 2026 list convincingly, having held the top spot since 2020. As Finland’s only two-Michelin-star restaurant, Palace has cemented its position as the undisputed pinnacle of the industry. The top four remained unchanged from the previous year: BasBas in second place and Grön in third. Kaskis, from Turku, rose to fifth place.
Each year, a wide range of hospitality industry professionals and industry insiders participate in the voting—in 2026, approximately 500 votes were cast. The recognition is particularly valuable because it comes directly from peers. The list reflects current trends in the industry, rising stars, and the diversity of Finnish gastronomy—it serves both as a tribute to the creators and as inspiration for restaurant guests.
The results of the next Finland’s 50 Best Restaurants competition will be announced at the TastePro event on April 7-8, 2027, at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Center, bringing well-deserved visibility and recognition to the industry’s top talents in front of the entire HoReCa community.
